I have demonstrated physical skills like posture, alignment, coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, control, spatial awareness, awareness of and relationship to other dancers in the performance.
I feel that i did interpreative skills things like timing, focus and i also used loads facial and body expression.

I was really please with the piece overall the group were really in time with each other, everyone satained in there role. I had good characterisation and was very consistant expressions and movements. Vocaly this this was a strong piece we all had good accents and projection.

The only thing that would have made it better was rehehearals. Individualy we did well but all had different ideas so when we came together our own work didnt fit together. eventually i took charge and used different ideas from each persons movements.

I was asked at the last minute to perform as a background dancer which ment that i had time limitation. we thought that the best way to incorperate movements was to add very small, effective movements.

I had lots of fossi style movements and strong arm movements. There was alot of energy on the stage, the sepeate groups really worked well it was very effective. We could each make up movement to our assigned song lyrics that suited our abilitys and i found that this made the piece look very effective.

Dance with Sam

In today's lesson we began with a game called 'Change Places'. This is where the class sits in a circle in chairs and one person stands in the middle. The person in the middle says “change places if......” for example, you watched Waterloo Road, went out at the weekend or are wearing black. If you answer yes to the question asked, you stand up and have to scramble to change chairs – this includes the person in the middle. The one left without a chair then asks the next question, and so the game continues. This was a warm up exercise. It was better to ask a question that you thought a lot of people would reply 'yes' to, as more stood up, to change places, it was easier to get a chair!

We then moved on to an isolation exercise. We lined up in pairs in the left corner and moved diagonally across the studio firstly performing point kicks and then moving on to spins.

Our teacher Sam then showed us dance moves to a song, this included the walk on, foot tapping and spins. We were then put in groups of four, my group was with Millie, Mel and Ben. We were told to choreograph more moves to the dance, to add to what Sam taught us. We all contributed ideas which included clicks, circles, arm movements, slides and box steps. We showed our choreography to the whole class and Sam, and it was videoed.
